| Anyone who has ever owned a Maltese understands how much we ADORE this breed! I live in the Midwest and have had Maltese for my pets for many years. In 2002 I met the Quincy Illinois Kennel Club president who encouraged me to enter the dog show world. I bought my first show dog Spunsilk Prince William (Billye) and with him, I entered into the dog conformation show world. It has been a wonderful adventure to engage in the challenges of showing a long coated breed. It has been a pleasure to meet so many good people in this breed who have mentored, encouraged and put up with me. I am still learning and hope to contribute to the preservation and improvement of this extra special breed.
